In the 2007 Columbus mayoral race, two-time incumbent Democrat Michael B. Coleman is facing Republican challenger William Todd.

Todd's campaign focuses on three issues: schools, safety, and services. He has called for the mayor's office to take control of Columbus Public Schools from the local boards.
Coleman's campaign is focusing on competence and Columbus's economic growth during his tenure.
